If you ask a Calvinist and a Jehovah's Witness to define Christianity in a nutshell, you will probably get different, but related, answers. Jehovah's Witnesses will probably focus on the kingdom of God and Jesus' rulership over that kingdom. Calvinists will probably focus on the gospel of grace and how God saves people for his glory. I have attempted to define Christianity in terms of seven points that include both worldview issues and the gospel in a nutshell (see here for example).
I was thinking about that today and thought it might be interesting to ask what ChatGPT would say. Here's my question and ChatGPT's answer.
Sam: What is the most succinct definition of Christianity that you can give?ChatGPT: Christianity is the faith centered on the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, believing in Him as the Son of God and Savior of humanity, offering salvation through faith, grace, and love.
What do you think? How would you have answered my question? What are the core essential defining points of Christianity? What makes Chrisitianity what it is and not something else? What's the most succinct definition of Christianity you can give?
